Caspian Porter #1 is a comic created by Drew D. Lenhart with art by Juan Fleites. After messing up big time in the previous issue our leading man finds himself on the run for his life. Though the cover hints at new lady making an appearance this story is mainly just Caspian and his robot buddy CRB. The plot this time around is centered on the chase but it does give us a nice bit after. There is an alright amount of action here, just enough to keep the story fresh. It is a spaceship chase so you can imagine what you’ll see. Most of the dialogue consists of CRB attempting to make sense of the situation and Caspian being angry and scared. There is only one page that nears wordiness but even then it isn’t bad. This is pretty smooth and fast read. To sum it all up this is a decent issue that is clearly setting the stage for something bigger.
Strong colors and heavy shadows seem to be the theme for this issue. I must say it does look a little less serious than the previous installment. This comic takes place in two places but I’ll only discuss the first one and it is the vast reaches of space. We get a good view of the entire spaceship; screens, buttons, controls, all that good stuff. Caspian is in the most dire of straits and he is wearing his emotions on his sleeve. You can always tell what’s on his mind because it is plastered on his face with good detail. Between the beating the ship takes during the chase and what happens after there is a good amount of action, with good flow and no confusion. I appreciate the attempt made in this issue to capture the feeling of space.

If you like sci-fi and prehistoric-era stories this might be up your alley. Also for those who like stories featuring leads with bad luck.
