Mythica #7 is a comic created by Matt Campbell. Now this right here is something that I haven’t really seen in comics. You know how in an anime or a manga the characters will go through a battle after battle and right before they hit the end they take a break at a hot spring to recuperate and relax? Well that’s kinda what takes place in this issue. Now don’t get me wrong, the beginning and the end of this story has some mystery about it but the middle part is pretty chill with some humor thrown in. And with the way the previous six issues have gone I’d say it was well deserved. Though the back half of the story lets us know that the next part will be a doozy.
This issue takes place at night as the group traverses through some snowy woods. These woods and a nearby town are drawn is such a way that you can feel how cold it is. We also see a nice castle that looks like has history built into the brick. When it comes to the people this comic retains the standard seen in the previous six, very expressive faces and well done close-ups. We also see some new characters wearing Scottish garb, driving home the fact this is a different location than before. A couple new creatures have some looks that might resemble things you’ve heard of.

If you like relaxation after a long day’s work, you could kick your feet up to this. If you’ve read the previous issues go ahead and read this one.
