Miranda and the Eternal Quest: Part 2 is a comic created by Tim Sparvero. Miranda continues her journey deeper into the abyss and discovers exactly where she’s headed. This is a fantasy supernatural comic with a woman-only cast and an intriguing story. The leading lady for this tale is Miranda, she is a demon who lives in a very old castle and this is where she found the parchment that sent her on this journey. Miranda is a wide-eyed, bubbly, and determined adventurer who can throw hands when necessary. With her on this expedition is Tessa, a woman dressed in classic archaeologist garb who met Miranda partway through her trek. There are a number of other women they’ll come across with notable personalities and unique looks. The story begins with Miranda and Tessa making their way through the caves and seeing a lush jungle with a path running through it. Tessa says that this path means that folk live there, after which this duo continues their descent. The world this story takes place in is of standard fantasy fare with legends and mystical elements being commonplace. The action does hit hard but there isn’t any blood or gore. The pacing is nice and steady with an overall lighthearted tone that can dip into seriousness. The intensity rises and falls during action scenes and revelations. The dialogue is mainly conversational with arguments, jokes, and insults. There aren’t any word-heavy pages here. This is an exciting sequel issue with a story that will keep you on your toes and a cast of characters that are strong, fun, and more than what they seem.
The art here is cartoonish while maintaining a sense of realism and has subtle shading and high detail. The color range here is vast with the ombré blending method being used frequently. The scenery starts off with rocky caves before opening into a lush jungle with thick-leafed foliage. Miranda doesn’t really stay in one spot for long so there isn’t a main location but she’ll visit some huts, a shrine, more caves, and other interesting locations. The backgrounds are split between showing the scene or just being a solid color with occasional stuff in the foreground. The expression level here is high as most of the characters here really lean into their different looks. The emotional range here is all over the place with happiness and anger but also confusion, slyness, and sneakiness. The faces have larger-than-average eyes and this strengthens the clarity of the different expressions. The mystical effects are bright and will draw your attention every time. The violence here is mostly physical but there are explosions; none of this results in any blood or gore. The action scenes flow well and are short and infrequent. Every woman in this comic has large breasts and is thick. All of them are scantily clad(or nude) at one point or another.
