The Vicious Vixens of Dakuwanga #2 is a comic written by Ben Lacy with art by Nico Toran. A group of women are attempting to hide from the criminal organization that is hunting them down. This is a science fiction comic that stars eight women and gets very violent. The leading lady for this tale is named Big Sis, she is the leader of this group and she knows more about what’s happening then she letting on. The other ladies are: Doc, Fiji, Knives, Jamaica, Blondie, Fish Hook, and Lil Sis. All of these women have different talents and skills that benefit the group. The comic begins with Fish Hook’s backstory and how she was abducted until the conversation is interrupted by a ship appearing. Unfortunately for these ladies, the incoming ship is not there to provide assistance. The overarching theme is that of survival in many different ways. The violence here is very bloody and gory with some gruesome attacks. The pacing is steady and the tone is serious with short bursts of lightheartedness. This is intensity almost the entire time as life-threatening danger is ever-present. The dialogue here is overall aggressive and mostly conversational but the flashbacks have a decent amount of narration. No word-heavy pages here. This is a sequel issue that is just as exciting as the first and that gives us a closer look at some of the cast while pushing the story forward.
The art here is very detailed and semi-cartoonish with some well-done shading. The color range is very wide with there being a nice page-by-page variety. For scenery we have long stretches of beach, clear and cloudy blue skies, endless ocean, thick jungles, and mountain. There is plenty to soak in. The primary location is this island but the flashbacks show place like a bar and a restaurant. The backgrounds here always show the scene which and its surrounds which adds some extra weight to each moment. The expression level here is very high as there are a bunch of people on the page at once and they can go through a number of looks per panel. The range of emotions is all over the place from fear and anger to terror and sadness. Because the art is cartoonish the faces get animated and show the different expressions very clearly, sometimes to the point of exaggeration. The violence here is very bloody and gory and involves knives, guns, and fish. The action scenes appear in bursts and usually have a high panel count which helps them flow with no confusion. Most of the women here are wearing beach clothes so there is a lot of skin showing.
