I Summoned a Demon and She’s Kinda My Type Volume 2 is a comic written by Chris Moses with art by FKiller. While taking a mini-vacation the trio of Hajime, Succi, and Tonya come across different people with bad intentions. This is a sexy supernatural comic starring a large cast with violence, drama, and comedy. The main man for this tale is Hajime Iwasaki, he is a college dropout who likes to draw and he is currently helping a demon find her missing body parts after accidentally summoning her from Hell. The demon in question is Succi, she is quick to anger and can be very sexual. She can only be seen by those who have interacted with demon energy. The second leading lady is Tonya, she is a college student who has been friends with Hajime since they were kids. She is very interested in magic and the occult. The story here begins with Hajime on the boardwalk recounting the events of the last installment while stressing about what might come next. He is interrupted by Succi who has brought food and the appearance of Tonya who is excited to start searching for Succi’s missing parts. This takes place in a world where most things we believe are supernatural or myths are actually real. The violence here is mainly physical with some hard-hits but no blood or gore. There are many ecchi moments here, sometimes involving nudity. The pacing goes from steady to fast with a comedic and cartoonish tone. There are many intense moments due to a combination of violence, danger, drama. The dialogue is mostly conversational with a lot back-and-forth and plenty of jokes as well as some aggression. Some text bubbles can get thick but there are no word-heavy pages here. This is a sequel issue that brings as much excitement, surprises, and lewdness as the first while fleshing out the characters we know and adding a few more.
The art here is drawn in a smoothly detailed semi-cartoonish way with it being reminiscent of modern Western webcomics. The color range here is very wide with a good page-by-page variety and strong lighting and shading. The scenery here is initially a beach complete with palm trees and sand but later on it is thick woods with shrubs and tall trees. Some of the other locations visited are a fortune teller’s shop and the coffee shop owned by Hajime’s dad. The backgrounds sometimes show the surroundings but most of the time it is multiple colors, shapes, and halftone dotting. The expression level here is very high as these characters almost never hide how they feel. The emotional range consists of happiness, horniness, anger, sadness, terror, horror, rage, confusion, shock, fear, and annoyance. The faces are well drawn and can get animated which helps the looks come across just as, if not more strongly than the words. There is some face sameness here but you shouldn’t get confused. The magical effects here have many looks from a psychedelic-like fog to green energy bursts. The violence is mostly physical with fists and feet being the main pain distributor though magic gets involved on occasion. There are some hard, brutal attacks but you won’t see any blood or gore. The action scenes tend to be lengthy with small bursts in-between. They flow well and have an overall decent amount of panels. All of the women here have either large breasts or a large butt, with most having both. They also tend to wear revealing and/or form-fitting clothes. There are many lewd angles, sexy shots, and nude moments.
