The Land That Time Forgot: Fearless is a comic with two stories written by Mike Wolfer: The Land That Time Forgot: Fearless with art by Fritz Casas and colors by Periya Pillai & Beezzz Studio and See-Ta The Savage: The Chain with art by Mike Wolfer & Mario Zimprich with colors by Ceci De La Cruz.
The Land That Time Forgot: Fearless is a science fiction tale starring a stranded couple that has a lot of violence and drama. The leading lady here is Lys, she is a skilled fighter with good aim. The main man here is Bowen, he is strong with martial arts skills. Both of them are smart and quick-thinkers on their feet. On their adventure they will come across Co-Tan, a member of the Galu, and See-Ta an outcast who rides and protects dinosaurs. This story begins with the couple traveling through mountains, fields, and jungle as they avoid the dangerous creatures. After a few near-death experiences they are attacked by a group of Alus. This all takes place on an island continent called Caspak. The violence is hard-hitting and brutal with blood and light gore. The dialogue here is split between conversational and thought narration and the talking style is in that 1900’s English style. There are at least a few word-heavy pages. The art here is drawn in a decently detailed modern style reminiscent of 70’s/80’s comics with a realistic range of colors. There is a strong focus on scenery as it plays a huge role here, from the trees and cliffs to the water and sand. The creatures here are very similar to ones that exist now. The expression level here is average and the faces have an overall good amount of detail. The action scenes tend to be lengthy with a high amount of panels so it all flows smoothly. Just about everybody here is light on clothing, similar to cavemen. This story is 61 pages long.
See-Ta The Savage: The Chain is a science fiction tale starring a lone woman in a story thick with violence, drama, and mystery. The leading lady here is See-Ta, she is an outcast from the Galu tribe who now lives in isolation and acts as a protector for the wildlife. She wields a bow and is skilled with a knife. This story begins with some preamble by Lys before showing See-Ta in action as she scans the plains and notices oddities with the vegetation and the animals. This leads to her investigating the situation and she happens upon a Wieroo speaking with two Sto-Lus, something that is very out of the ordinary. The violence here is bloody and firey with some gruesome attacks leading to gore. The dialogue here is mainly conversational with some narration from Lys. The talking style is like a step above caveman-like English for most of the supporting cast. There are more than a few word-heavy pages. The art here is drawn in a smoothish modern style with a realistic range of colors, mostly browns. The scenery is a focal point from the lush trees to the fauna to even the dirt. Dinosaurs play a key role here. The expression level here is high as(outside of See-Ta) these characters react a lot. The faces have a good amount of detail and show the different looks strongly. The action scenes tend to be decently lengthy with a smooth, almost step-by-step, flow. Clothing is very light here with See-Ta being one of the more heavily-dressed despite wearing little. This story is 38 pages long.
There is a bonus two-page cartoonish story that stars See-Ta as she attempts to train a cat to be more ferocious.
