Miranda and the Eternal Quest Part 3 is a comic created by Tim Sparvero. Miranda battles Tessa to keep the Eye of the Universe out of her hands! This is a supernatural fantasy comic with violence, light humor, angry drama, and an all-woman cast. The leading lady for this tale is Miranda, she is a demon with magical abilities who is very determined to complete this quest. Tessa is a shapeshifting magician who wants the gem for evil purposes. This story begins with Miranda descending upon Tessa as she tries to control the gem but her attempts keep failing. Miranda reveals that she has the missing piece that is preventing the gem from being used; this leads to an argument between her and Tessa. While these two insult each other the three-eyed magician appears which only makes Tessa angrier. This takes place in a world where magic and fantastical creatures are common. The violence here is bloody with some gruesome attacks. The pacing is goes from fast to steady depending on the action. The tone is slightly serious and sort of feels like a big moment in a combat-heavy cartoon. There are multiple intense moments here due to violence with a couple dramatic ones as well. The dialogue is conversational with good back-and-forth and aggression. There are no word-heavy pages here. This is an exciting final issue that brings to an end Miranda’s quest with a conclusion that is both dramatic and violent.
The art here is drawn in a stylistic cartoonish way with subtle lighting and shading. The coloring here has a mix of solids and gradients with a lot of pink, yellow, green, and blue. For scenery we have thick jungles and rivers passing through mountains and the green open countryside. There are also shots of the sky and space with planets and stars. The main location for this story is a place that looks like a sort of dream world, some parts in flames, others in bubbly light or darkness. There also some jungle and indoor scenes. The backgrounds usually show the immediate surroundings which can look different depending on the location. The expression level here is high as these characters don’t hide their feelings at all. Emotions we’ll see here are aggressive like anger and rage with some annoyance and shock as well. The faces have a decent amount of detail but they can get very animated which leads to strong and clear expressions. The magical effects are bright and take many forms from sparkle-like to bubbly. The weapons used here include a sword and sharp teeth. There are a few gruesome attacks that lead to blood but no gore. There is really only one action scene that has a good amount of panels though you might occasionally get a bit lost from one to the next. All of the women here are full-bodied with large breasts and they wear very little, if any, clothing.
