I Summoned a Demon and She’s Kinda My Type Halloween Special 2025 is a comic written by Chris Moses with art by Lucas Romero. Princess Pumpkin has returned and she’s draining the life out of people! This is a supernatural comic with rampant horniness, comedic moments, explosive violence, and a nearly all-woman cast. The main man here is Hajime Iwasaki, he is a college dropout who summoned a demon and now must assist in finding her missing body parts. Hajime also has to ability to coat his limbs in demon energy which grants him power. Succi is the summoned demon in question and she is a lewd and vulgar person with a short temper and mean streak. Also appearing are Agent Aquarius, Gemini, and Bast. This story begins with Hajime at an antique shop attempting to trade in his old comics for cash. He rejects the five dollar offer given to him(he drew on the pages of the comic) and as he goes to leave he notices a magazine with Princess Pumpkin on the cover. This takes place in a world where demons, magic, and other supernatural events are common. The violence here is hard-hitting and gruesome-ish but there isn’t any blood. The pacing here is steady with a horror/light sex comedy-like tone. The intensity mainly spikes due to violence and sexuality though there are some dramatic bits. The dialogue here is humorous with a lot of back-and-forth, aggression, and yelling. There are no word-heavy pages here. This is an exciting and comedic issue that pairs a high stakes, Halloween-influenced story with a cast of boisterous and horny characters.
The art here is drawn in a smoothly detailed, somewhat cartoonish style with shiny lighting. The color palette is overall realistic but there is a lot of orange and green. Though there are a lot of vines there isn’t much natural scenery as this takes place deep in a city. Some of the places visited here are an antiques shop, a water treatment plant, and the city streets. The backgrounds are usually gradient colors with the actual surroundings being rare. The expression level here is very high as these characters are constantly reacting. Emotions are all over the place from happiness and anger to rage and confusion with a bunch of horny, aggressive, comedic looks as well. The faces have an overall average amount of detail and can get very animated which leads to most, if not all, expressions being very clear. When magical powers are used they tend to be bright green, almost neon-like. The violence here is delivered physically or magically with some hard-hits and lightly gruesome moments that lead to vegetable gore. The action scenes tend to be short and to the point with an unconfusing flow and varying panel size. All of the women here are curvy and they tend to wear tight, revealing, or no clothing at all, and most of them are thick with large breasts.
