Bulletproof #2 is a comic written by John A. Rhodes with lineart by Rully Akbar and colors by Avery Ferdinand. Chaotika finds herself in prison after being accused of an assassination. This is a superheroine science fiction comic with a nearly all-woman cast. The leading lady for this tale is Chaotika, she is currently in prison after being accused of a crime she claims she hasn’t committed. She’ll run across women from other series in the Nothing-Man Universe like Wynter and Gunner. The story begins with Chaotika, real name Hannah Webb, being processed and placed into a maximum security detention facility for superpowered people like her. After a few days she meets with some people from the Hyperoid Security Agency who let her know what’s going on. The violence here is very hard-hitting with a light amount of blood. The pacing is steady and the tone is serious. The intensity level here isn’t high initially but it picks up as the story moves on. Most of the dialogue here is aggressively conversational with some news report narration. There are no word-heavy pages here. This exciting issue has more action than the first and it gives us interesting information about characters from different parts of the Nothing-Man Universe.
The art here is drawn in a modern style with an above-average amount of detail and an overall smoothness. The color range here is both wide and realistic with a decent page-by-page variety. Besides the occasional glimpses of the sky there isn’t much in the way of scenery here. The main location for this story is the prison and we’ll visit many different areas like the cell block, the showers, and interrogation rooms. The backgrounds are split between showing the surroundings and being a color gradient that may or may not match the walls of the rooms. The expression level hovers around average as the main look from most characters is an angry one. There are rare emotions of calm and determination but most of what you’ll see here are in the anger family from rage to aggression. The faces have a decent amount of detail so the looks come across clearly but they can occasionally look stiff. The violence here is very hard-hitting with brutal impacts involving buildings and the ground, which results in a small amount of blood. The action scenes have a high amount of panels which results in everything flowing smoothly. There are more than a few moments involving naked women and most of the combat outfits are revealing in some way.
