Bulletproof #3 is a comic written by John A. Rhodes with lineart by Rully Akbar and colors by Avery Ferdinand. The conflict between Chaotika and Atomika now has higher stakes! This is a science fiction comic with a large amount of violence, some drama, and a cast of mainly women. The main ma’am here is Chaotika, she is a former supervillain(unwillingly) who is now trying to live a normal life but finds herself being involved in situations with huge ramifications. With her is Liberty/Gunner, a former villain turned government agent who is trying to get Chaotika out of the mess she’s in. This story begins with Crossbow holding Chaotika at bowpoint because she killed his brother. But before she can kill her Liberty swoops in from the skies to stop what’s happening. This takes place in the world of Nothing-Man with some characters and storylines made prominent in other series getting involved here. The violence is hard hitting with bloody and gruesome attacks leading to heavy gore. The pacing is steady with some fast moments and a thrilling, heroic tone. There are a bevy of intense moments here courtesy of violence and danger. The dialogue is conversational with a lot of back-and-forth and mid-battle quips. There are no word-heavy pages here. This is a series finale that provides conclusions for character arcs and violent excitement while building towards potential future events.
The art here is detailed and drawn in a modern style with decent lighting. The color range is taken from the sci-fi palette with lots of metallic gray, silver, and blue. The main source of scenery is the star-filled night sky though most of this story takes place inside. The main location is a space station that has seen better days with many different areas being visited. The backgrounds usually show the surroundings thought some action-heavy moments will be a gradient color with the appropriate lines. The expression level here is a bit below average with a low variety of looks overall. The main emotion is anger with shock and sadness as well. The faces have a decent amount of detail and tend to show the different expressions clearly. The violence is delivered via fists, arrows, and guns with some brutal and gruesome attacks leading to blood and gore. The action scenes generally have a good flow with a decent to good amount of panels.
