Caspian Porter #0 is a comic created by Drew D. Lenhart with art by Juan Fleites. After a night full of bad decisions a man finds himself in danger. Our leading man is a “delivery boy” that I can only assume is named Caspian Porter, a guy who makes bad decisions. After getting too drunk and talking entirely too much he ends up in two different situations detrimental to his health. There is a chase-and-shoot scene but for the most part this is light on action. The dialogue is pretty realistic and funny; the conversations have nice back-and-forth to them. Only one page could be considered a little wordy but it has a good pace so the plot won’t seem slowed-down. This is short issue and it seems like it was created to give us a bit of background for the larger story.
This isn’t the most high-definition art but it still looks good. There is a good color variety and shadows are used heavily. Most of this story takes place on a space station so you’ll see the corridors and big windowed rooms. This comic has above-average detail on the faces and that all but guarantees a good level of expressiveness. That paired with the dialogue adds more depth to scenes. Spacesuits and laser guns are featured here, which lets you get a feel of the type of space story this is. The action is easy to follow with good flow and nice little details.
