Fatgirl #2 is a comic created by John Rhodes and published by Hyperverse Comics. It is set in the same world as the Hyperverse series Nothing-Man. Fatgirl takes place sometime after the last issue. Currently Paradise City is a dangerous place to be in. Walls are being built to isolate the city from the outside world. People are being kidnapped at night and taken to God knows where. This is where we find our heroine Fatgirl as she overlooks the city attempting to find answers. I do like how she has her share of ups and downs which is realistic as she recently picked up the mantle. While on her personal mission we’ll run into some familiar characters like Adrenalynn and Wynter. This comic is a necessary pairing for Nothing-Man as it shows unseen sides to characters that force us to look at them in a different light.
Man these characters have some foreheads. The faces have less of a goofy cartoony element than they had last time, but sometimes it looks dialed in. Powers in action look good as usual especially the different forms some of them take. The costumes and armor seen look good, and the more common outfits look like something regular people would wear. The action scenes are interesting and will keep you paying attention. This comic really goes crazy with the hairstyles, you don’t really see any twice.
“Is this worth reading?”
Yes.
“Would I like this?”
If you like superheroines and new upstarts this is good. If you like Nothing-Man this is almost required reading to get a better view of what is going on.
“What would this comic’s film rating be?”
PG.
“Could I get a quote from the comic?”
“What? Did you suddenly get a conscious?”
