Fox and Hound #6 is a comic written by N. S. Kane with art by Chris Pitcairn. Lena and Natasha prepare for a assault on the Commission. This is an organized crime science fiction comic with bloody violence, drama, and a women-only main cast. The leading lady for this tale is Lena, she is a well-trained combatant with special abilities who is currently without her regular partner-in-crime/lover, Charlie. Charlie has returned to her former organization to become its queen, but this isn’t sitting right with Lena. Also starring is Natasha, she and Lena had a fling in the past and she now finds herself being recruited to take part in a dangerous mission. The story begins with Lena gathering weaponry to make an assault on the Commission’s headquarters, and she “convinces” Natasha to join her. Meanwhile Charlie is being tested and directed by the King. The violence here is decently bloody with some moments of heavy gore. The pacing is steady with an action movie-like tone. The intensity is high just about the entire time due to violence and the threat of violence. The dialogue is conversational with a lot of aggressive back-and-forth. There aren’t any word-heavy pages but some get close. This is an exciting series finale that puts a nice bow on the story and gives the characters we’ve been following apt conclusions.
The art here is detailed with a soft smoothness and it is drawn in a modern style. The color palette is cool and appears to have been done with watercolors. Aside from an outdoor scene most of this story takes place indoors. The main locations are bunker-like from storage areas to underground labs. There is also a very sharp and clean looking throne room. The backgrounds are split between showing the location and being a gradient color. The expression level here is a tick above average as these rarely hide how they feel. The primary emotion is anger with sinister happiness, annoyance, and shock playing major roles. The faces have a decent amount of detail with just about every look coming across clearly. The violence is usually delivered via firearms and physical attacks with swords also coming into play. There is a decent amount of blood and some heavy gore. The action scenes can be lengthy with great flow and breakdown of the different sequences. All the women here have large breasts, look like models, and some of them wear revealing clothing.
