Miss Meow #6 is a comic written by Aaron Sparrow with art by Victor Serra, Renzo Rodriguez, and Nathan Watson with colors by Gaston Zubeldia. Katfight turns her attention towards the Bubblegum Blitzkrieg in this very violent issue. This is a tale focused on superpowered people going head-to-head in a large drawn-out battle. Our leading ladies for this comic are Katfight, a cybernetically-enhanced woman with a deadly grudge against the other lead Miss Meow, who also possesses some abilities and is currently in a bad spot. The plot picks up right after the big moment from the previous issue and Katfight now finds herself surrounded by seven superpowered young folk. From here things go how you’d expect. Though there is a revenge theme here there is also one of remorse. The action here is bloody and gruesome from the get-go, you will see some nastiness. The pace is steady as the action is broken down into many panels and the tone is very serious as this situation is life-or-death. As expected from the tone everyone speaks with angry intensity and lots of combat direction. No wordy pages here. This is a very violent issue that gives us just enough story but plenty of excitement and that will have you hungry for the next installment.
The art style here is detailed and leans toward realism with the shading and the line work. The coloring is eye-catching but still grounded. This story takes place in the middle of a neighborhood so the scenery is houses. The main location is the ruins of a house but the violence does spill out into the street. The chances of the backgrounds containing scene elements are about 50-50. The expression level here is somewhat high but the main look is that of anger. Due to the amount of details in the faces the looks come across great, but the range isn’t very wide. They all do have model-esque looks though. Some light face sameness can be found, but nothing that’d get in the way. The hair flows great here. The powers used stand out on the page and look as significant as the world makes it seem. The action here gets bloody with some gore but nothing too heavy on that front. The scenes flow well with moments broken down into enough panels so you won’t get lost. The costumes are skintight but tend to be combat-oriented except in the case of Katfight, who likes to wear something more revealing.
