Nothing-Man #2 is a comic created by John Rhodes and published by Hyperverse Comics. While the first issue tried to give the readers some type of foundation to build off of, this one brings the action. We’re still following John Doe and Diana as they head to Paradise City for some supplies and answers. It’s as they drive through a town called Wilson where things heat up, figuratively and literally. This issue will answer a few questions readers might have about John Doe, but it brings new mysteries about other characters. But if you were waiting to see superpowers at play do not worry, this issue is chock full of it. We also get a better glimpse of the state of Paradise City and how it is being run.
The art is more or less the same as the first issue. There are great looking expressive faces with high-definition eyes, this makes close-ups a treat. The bodies are done well for the most part, every now and then there will be some anatomy goof but it’s nothing egregious. I will say that just about every character I see so far has a supermodel body. This comic is drawn in the style of a 90’s comic with great coloring so it has an old-school feel without looking faded as comics from that era sometimes did. Some of the superpowers have special looks and are drawn in a way that makes it easy to imagine them happening in real life.
“Is this worth reading?”
Yes.
“Would I like this?”
If you like superhero stories this is a great read. Also if you are a fan of misfit teams you should give this a look.
“What would this comic’s film rating be?”
R. 100%. A woman is naked almost the whole time she’s on screen.
“Could I get a quote from the comic?”
“If I hadn’t already lost my mind you would make me lose it.”
