Perfect 10 #2 is a comic created by Dave Brink. We have fighting, drama, and bad pr; all of this is centered on a Sythoid assassin. This is a very plot-progressing and violent issue that introduces us to a bunch of new characters. The main protagonist is a woman named Ten who is surrounded by people who know more about her past than she does. We meet the main supervillainess Calamity, Pratt has a son who pretty much hates him, and there’s even character who looks like the result of the combination of Cammy from Street Fighter, Poison Ivy from DC, and a zebra. There are about 15+ new faces in this issue. The main plot is focuses on some supervillains causing a tragedy just to accomplish a singular goal. The side stories involve family drama, the worth of one life, and the belief that the ends justify the means. The action here is heavy and unafraid to get nasty but never gets gory. This comic tries to have realistic dialogue but it can turn to hero talk during intense moments. The wordier pages read swift enough but you’ll be reading for a while. This is a great follow up to the first issue and it builds on the intensity and drama with a story that’ll keep you hooked.
The art in this comic is on par with what you’d see in a major comic. This is very colorful with some nice detail done on the special effects. The majority of this issue takes place on city streets with some significant glances at the good guys’ skyscraper and the bad guys’ estate(?). This is a series with an expression level so high it borders on cartoonish but doesn’t cross the line. The faces are slightly above-average in detail which helps all the emotions come across clearly. Due to the extreme uniqueness of the various faces there is no face sameness here. There are a lot of unique bodies on display. Most of the onscreen effects are electric but it looks fascinating. The action doesn’t get gruesome but it does hit very hard with explosions and flying vehicles. The outfits are very themed and functional so you won’t be too in the dark about what their abilities are. Almost every outfit is skintight with most of the men being more ripped then shredded paper and most of the women built like models with legs and titties.
“Is this worth reading?”
Yes.
“Would I like this?”
If you like lady-centric stories with more superfolk than you can count with drama both regular and familial and heavy-hitting fights this is for you.
“What would this comic’s film rating be?”
PG-13. It’s pretty violent but it never gets too nasty.
“Could I get a quote from the comic?”
“The mere thought that there were nine others just like you makes me sick!”
