Ruination #2 is a comic created by Ryan Bis and published by Curious Perspective Comics. There are quite a few people to keep track of in this series so near the beginning of this issue we are given a nice little rundown of who everyone is. The story picks up in the odd, yet familiar ruins our group had ended up in. As they roam around they run into different kinds of dangerous situations. There are some good action scenes with easy-to-follow combat. The stress level is significantly lower than the previous issue but things haven’t fully calmed down. There are also some good moments where we get more information on the Fallen that provide with a more balanced perspective on the world and the conflict. A good bit of characterization is done particularly with Keila. The dialogue here is snappy and angry, but realistic. There are also some nice bits of humor scattered throughout the story, and the tone isn’t overly serious. And Raechel is the best.
This issue takes mostly inside the ruins of some building. I can’t describe the building for spoilers’ sake but I will say it will leave you with more questions. The characters are once again very expressively drawn and at some point look a bit Disney/Pixar-like. All the mains have easy-to-read faces and a wide range of emotions. The combat during the action scenes is graphic, but it flows nice. The special powers used look great and stand out on the page. And though I don’t normally talk hairstyles, big props to whoever wanted to include the classic Leia hair.

If you like large casts of characters in a fantasy world with varying goals and combat and secrets you should start this up.
