The Fist vs Inner Peace is a comic created by Jordan Kroeger. The lead singer of a band enters a fight to the death. This is a supernatural science fiction comic with comedic elements, aggressive violence, and music. The main man for this tale is The Fist, he is an aggressive person with a right arm that is green and can speak. The arm is called “Hand” has some unique abilities. The leading lady is named Ship and she has something attached to her head called “Hair” that operates in a similar way to The Fist’s arm. The story begins with The Fist and his band(which includes Ship and a few other people) performing a song on a stage. Afterwards The Fist and Ship talk about the past and discuss facing The Left Hand. The violence here is hard-hitting with rough attacks leading to bloody gore. The pacing is steady and there is an action-comedy tone like an MCU movie. The intensity is high and lengthy with a lot of aggression overall. The dialogue has a good amount of back-and-forth with insults, jokes, and arguments. There are no word-heavy pages here. This is a comic that brings excitement and humorous drama while starring a very determined lead character.
The art here is detailed and drawn in a grittyish style that is a bit reminiscent of alternative comics from the 90’s era. The color palette has a lot of dark blues and purples with a good chunk of this being in black-and-white. For scenery we have some trees and outer space with stars, planets, and asteroids. The location changes more than a few times with visits to an outdoor stage, wide open arena, and spaceships. The backgrounds are split between showing the surroundings and being uniquely textured with and without color. The expression level here is high as these characters really out their all into each moment. The main emotion is anger with some rage and confusion. The faces tend to have a large amount of detail and show the expressions very well. The violence is physical with rare gruesome attacks leading to gore and some blood. The action scenes can be lengthy with an overall high amount of panels helping it all flow smoothly.
