I Summoned a Demon and She’s Kinda My Type Summer Special 2026 is a comic written by Chris Moses with art by Lucas Romero. When the city is flooded with water Hajime, Succi, and the rest of the gang try to find out why. This is a supernatural comic with a lot of humor, interpersonal drama, and a large(mostly woman) cast. The main man here is Hajime, he is a college dropout who summoned a demon and he is now forced to help her find her missing body parts with before a year is up. Succi is the demon that was summoned and she is violent, vulgar, and overly sexual with most of her problems being her fault. Also helping are Hajime’s childhood friend Tonya and the barefoot Hannah. This story begins with Hajime waxing poetic about how much he loves the summer before being interrupted by Succi as he tries to use the bathroom. As they argue they notice water pooling on the floor before looking outside and seeing that the city has been flooded. This takes place in a world where mythical beings and the supernatural aren’t too far out of the ordinary. Violence here is hard-hitting but not bloody or gory. The pace here is steady overall with a mix of slower and faster moments. This has the tone of a monster-of-the -week episode of a cartoon with some light dramatic and violent intensity. The dialogue here features constant back-and-forth with some adult humor and aggression. There aren’t any word-heavy pages here. This is an entertaining issue that has unique interactions between familiar characters and stakes just high enough to provide a little edge.

            The art here is drawn in a detailed cartoonish, almost manga-like, style with shiny lighting and some realistic shading. This has a very realistic color palette with a wide range and a lot of blue(sky and water). For scenery we have the ocean and rising waters which is also where the majority of this story takes place. Some scenes are on rooftops and other are in a boat. Backgrounds here are split between showing the actual surroundings and being a gradient color. The expression level here is very high as these characters can be very cartoonish and are always reacting. Emotions go from shocked and happy to annoyed and angry with more in-between. Faces have large eyeballs and small pupils with large teeth and the ability to get animated so just about every different expression is very clear. Magical abilities tend to be a bright color, usually green. The violence can look rough and painful but it doesn’t get bloody or gory. Action scenes usually come in 2-3 page bursts with a high panel count and a smooth flow. All of the women here have large breasts and/or butts and they wear tight or revealing clothing; there are also a number of suggestive poses and lewd angles.
